The SF2 series consists of several titles which can be installed as standalone, or into a single merged installation to give you access to all the theatres, campaigns and aircraft. The SF2 series is available only as a download from the Third Wire Store: It is meant to be far more accessible and easy to learn, and dare I say it – more fun – than some of the more heavyweight flight sim titles. In other words it features a number of aircraft modelled in less detail and fidelity than a “study sim” such as the classic Falcon 4, or the current heavyweight Digital Combat Simulator series. SF2 is what flight sim enthusiasts refer to as a “survey sim”. Strike Fighters 2 (henceforth abbreviated to SF2) by Third Wire (TW) is an open architecture, modular series of flight sims featuring aerial combat with Cold War era jet aircraft.
